Ema's testimony was not hearsay or conjecture. Dr Buff DID steal those things. It wouldn't be hard to verify that the artifacts in his study were stolen, and in fact she literally said that some of them WERE provably stolen. I don't get why you think it's conjecture, that sort of thing is not up to assumption, that's just facts. The idea that the orb IS the Crystal of Ami Fey, and that Dr Buff stole it, is technically assumption, but it's assumption for the sake of the case. It's either the crystal or it isn't, and Phoenix's argument is that it is the Orb and Dr Buff stole it just like he stole all of the other artifacts. That isn't conjecture. You can't call conjecture on that, it's his argument and it's a perfectly valid one.
Apollo would not take on the prosecutor's side, because it's a civil case. Atishon is the plaintiff, so he's the one leveling the accusation. The prosecution in a criminal case is on the side of the state, the one leveling the accusation, so that would be Phoenix's role. Not that there's a prosecution in a civil case, but you know.

The Crystal of Ami Fey is not the same thing as the Founder's Orb. The Founder's Orb is a holy Khura'inese relic stolen from Khura'in. The Crystal of Ami Fey is a crystal of Kurain passed down in Atishon's family. They are in fact entirely separate things (and its not even really clear if the crystal of Ami Fey even exists)

I uh don't think you can sue Atishon for involuntary manslaughter. Seeing as how neither Apollo nor Dhurke died, there's no manslaughter going on. You also can't sue someone for involuntary manslaughter, that's a criminal charge.
As soon as it was revealed those were his initials in the email address, I was like, “PLEASE game, I NEED him to be stupid enough to include his birthday date too.” And he was! I laughed so hard.
…and then I realized that my first email address was just my initials and birthday, and then I felt really stupid. Though in my defense, if I were in a situation where I wouldn’t want people to trace back evidence to me, I would use a burner email or something.
technically because Apollo works for Phoenix there's a Conflict of Interest going on here – there's no guarantee that one side or the other is actually acting in their client's best interests here
