  1. Ema's testimony was not hearsay or conjecture. Dr Buff DID steal those things. It wouldn't be hard to verify that the artifacts in his study were stolen, and in fact she literally said that some of them WERE provably stolen. I don't get why you think it's conjecture, that sort of thing is not up to assumption, that's just facts. The idea that the orb IS the Crystal of Ami Fey, and that Dr Buff stole it, is technically assumption, but it's assumption for the sake of the case. It's either the crystal or it isn't, and Phoenix's argument is that it is the Orb and Dr Buff stole it just like he stole all of the other artifacts. That isn't conjecture. You can't call conjecture on that, it's his argument and it's a perfectly valid one.

  2. Apollo would not take on the prosecutor's side, because it's a civil case. Atishon is the plaintiff, so he's the one leveling the accusation. The prosecution in a criminal case is on the side of the state, the one leveling the accusation, so that would be Phoenix's role. Not that there's a prosecution in a civil case, but you know.

  3. "We know about her orb, because we've dealt with it before"
No we didn't. It was never mentioned it before. You're confusing it with the vase again lmao.

  4. The Crystal of Ami Fey is not the same thing as the Founder's Orb. The Founder's Orb is a holy Khura'inese relic stolen from Khura'in. The Crystal of Ami Fey is a crystal of Kurain passed down in Atishon's family. They are in fact entirely separate things (and its not even really clear if the crystal of Ami Fey even exists)

  5. "I could sue you at least for involuntary manslaughter"
I uh don't think you can sue Atishon for involuntary manslaughter. Seeing as how neither Apollo nor Dhurke died, there's no manslaughter going on. You also can't sue someone for involuntary manslaughter, that's a criminal charge.

  6. As soon as it was revealed those were his initials in the email address, I was like, “PLEASE game, I NEED him to be stupid enough to include his birthday date too.” And he was! I laughed so hard.

…and then I realized that my first email address was just my initials and birthday, and then I felt really stupid. Though in my defense, if I were in a situation where I wouldn’t want people to trace back evidence to me, I would use a burner email or something.

  7. technically because Apollo works for Phoenix there's a Conflict of Interest going on here – there's no guarantee that one side or the other is actually acting in their client's best interests here

  8. can two attorneys from the same firm even stand on opposite sides of the same trial jdfkljsflksjdl that seems like a conflict of interest

  9. THAT VOICE YOU'RE GIVING FOR PAUL ATISHON IS GETTING ON MY NERVES AND IT'S MAKING ME SCRATCH MYSELF ALL OVER! GIVE HIM A DIFFERENT VOICE YOU B I T C H!!!!

  10. 45:41 It's a bit weird to focus on this, but I love the fact that Paul Atishon just says "No comment" before walking off. It is a clasic politician move, but it's kind of nice to have a witness who doesn't incriminate himself for once. At least, at first. It also shows supreme confidence that he thinks he can get away with that. The balls on this man…

  11. something's certs off about phoenix here. i momentarily considered that a certain master of disguise had returned, but i don't think he was actually good at hiding his brooklish accent or his aggressive demeanor so if this IS an imposter then red isn't sus

phoenix on the right feels so, so, so wrong

  12. Phoenix vs Apollo, the match of the century begins. I adore Athena's reaction to the whole thing, and even the Judge worrying over them. Love this.

  13. “Don’t put birthdays in your E-Mail or password” you say Reese? Don’t forget Manfred Von Karma’s credit card pin “0001 because I am number 1!”
