A short film for THTR 1020. (Speaking begins at 1:17)
For clarification: Many words spoken in the video are actual English words. When put together, however, the sentences make little to no sense. While many non-English speakers can pick out words they recognize, they still often fail to make sense of an entire statement.

American English Speaker. Is this really what it sounds like? Because as someone who natively speaks English, it's very much like walking through a crowded area and picking up various conversations, some words mean things, and most of it is nonsense without context. Is that really what it's like for non-english speakers? I've always wondered how it sounds to others.
It kinda sounds like he’s talking about Harry Potter or comparing the books to the movies or something and then talking about his schedule for the week.
Soooo. It sounds like xqc which is the Juicer language xD
English sounds like English to non-native speakers.
American lore:
How patois sounds to English speakers 😂😂
Easily the most pretentious video I’ve seen today.
They should put subtitles
as a person who speaks a language, this video sounds like hes speaking a language
Strokes be like:
That is how i sang english songs as a child. And sometimes today, if i forget the lyrics.
It's weird but I still don't really know what English sounds like to a foreigner… I just know what speaking English in gibberish sounds like
What 🤣
As a non-native speaker, I can easily read English text, but it's so hard for me to understand real speech. So it's what I hear when I watch almost every video in English. It sounds strange, but I speak English better than I understand it when other people are speaking.
Me who’s a Canadian English speaker so I can understand all of it even when it wasn’t proper words.
Oh my gosh it was off to a slow start I almost didn't watch it but I'm glad I did that's funny ass shit 🤭✌🏽🙏🏽💜

Sooo pelatable
That’s how I hear other languages being spoken!
I never thought about that but this makes sense after speaking with people for whom English is a second language. I learned to speak more slowly and observe their non-verbal responses. It's helped a lot.
Mf be speaking the Sims language
This is what I sound like when I'm drunk.
