Even if after the bills are passed with or without changes, there is always the Apex Court that shall review it deeply in order to pass them through the touchstone of the basic structure of the Constitution. If any of it or all of it contradicts and abrogates the basic structure of the Indian Constitution, it shall be declared null and void. So one need not jump up and draw conclusions so fast. Have hope in the Judiciary.

19. These are not very thought out laws. Alot of innocent people are going to get trapped and injuistce will prevail. Death penalty should be given for rape.

20. Shame on BJP for being so pro- marital rape that they would go to the extend on enshrining it as codified law.
    The last one is scary. Amit Shah very ingeniously legalized and legitimized marital rape by tying it up with rape charges on unmarried women. Evenif marital rape was not criminal before, it was legitimate ground for divorce. But now non-consentual marital sex being legalized, women now cannot even claim that as cruelity.
    So I guess BJP is sending a clear massage that they are very vehemently campaigning to destroy the institution of marraige for women. If you want any legal protection from, intimate partner sexual violence don't get married.
    Marraige for women have now became a legal contract for giving up your right for consent to sex for the other party. Good luck to women who are already married.
