I got a DUI story for you I had a client who called in and told me he was charged with a DUI basically my client was out in Gas Lamp and he was obviously drinking at the clubs and then he left he went and picked up his Ferrari and then he drove it to the front of the club to pick up his friends in the moment that he’s in front of the club and his friends come that’s when the cops show up cuz he’s revving his engine and he’s bringing all this attention to himself Cops show up and are like have you been drinking bada bing bada he’s done he’s done they arrest him obviously before that they do the field sobriety test he fails it he does a p test he fails it and he gets charged with the DUI I was able to negotiate that case down to a wet Reckless because he wasn’t driving in the moment that the cops saw him so that’s a defense were you actually driving did you get caught driving while you were under the influence or was your car parked and you just happened to be in the driver’s seat those are some of the things that an experienced defense attorney is going to argue with the prosecutor because that’s going to be a little harder for them to prove in trial were they actually driving

  1. So, if he goes out and kills someone next time he drives drunk, how will you feel about tgat? What if it was a friend or family member.

  2. Good job πŸ‘
You got someone who was obviously ok driving drunk from experiencing the consequences of their actions. Hopefully someone else won't have to suffer the consequences of your client's actions next time.

  3. Because she got him off on a technicality, he probably didn’t learn his lesson. He might have gotten away with a more serious charge, and hopefully, it will not be the innocent public paying for the attorney’s knowledge of the law.

  4. Ah yes, the classic: my client was completely guilty of the crime they were accused of but we can find a technicality to get them a very reduced sentence because they are rich and could afford a good lawyer.
