how can you defend somebody if you know that they’re guilty so let me explain something the idea of guilty is a legal term it means can the government prove each and every element of the crime Beyond a reasonable doubt if they can’t the person is not guilty and look my job isn’t to protect or to defend necessarily unless we’re talking self-defense right what somebody is alleged to have done my job is to protect the burden that the government has to convince every jurors beyond a reasonable doubt that the person is guilty of the crime and if not then they’re not guilty and if you have a problem with that and you don’t think it makes sense wait until someone you love gets accused of a crime and if you think that innocent people don’t get convicted go talk to an Innocence Project anywhere in the country who’s helping get people out of prison who have been falsely incarcerated for decades
